Free Springsteen

Isn't it just my luck???

There is a rumor that is going around my town that The Boss is giving a free concert. Now I am not the kind of person that really gives rumors much weight, however, there are several pieces of evidence that would make me say, "yeah, he's giving a free concert".

1) He was just here for the Horse Show - his daughter's last year doing it. (So yeah, fuckers, who complain because Bruce Springsteen wasn't at Live 8 - any father would say that he had a damn good excuse in not being at Live 8 - he was watching his little girl in her last horse show. Too bad, daughter :: awareness, daughter :: awareness, I'd pick my daughter too.)

2) He has baught property here.

3) Exit 105 is performing.

4) The owners of a very influencial hotel in town has encouraged their staff to go see it, saying that he will be performing.

Now, with all of the excitement: what will I wear??? My god damned uniform because I have to be working.

Where I Live

Have you ever lived in a paradise? I have, I do. Today I was standing outside my hotel, the one I work at, and the clouds in the sky looked so close I was tempted to reach out and take some out of the sky. I live in paradise.

Eternity

You know, sometimes I wonder if I am always going to be this way. The chubby girl who is always the best friend and never something more. That is how I've been for as long as I remember, and now, in my 21st year I feel as if it will never change.

I have spent my life as the shoulder to cry on, the person who throws the first pie in a food fight, and the person to open up to, and yet, in all that, it is never anything more. I truly wonder if I am ever going to have that guy.

Why is it I am always seen as something no one wants? Why am I unwanted? Why doesn't anyone care?
